Most trainers work in controlled environments. We work in the real world — fields, trails, and open terrain — because that's where life actually happens. Structure, instinct, and nearly a decade of experience.

Dogs aren't broken.
They're under-served.

There's no such thing as a lazy dog. There are dogs that don't get enough exercise, enough stimulation, enough structure. Given the right environment, they will show you exactly who they are.

My training happens in the real world — open fields, forest trails, hikes with multiple dogs at once. Because real obedience has to hold up where distractions are real. Not in a sterile facility. Out there.

I operate from instinct and attention to detail. I read body language. I catch things before they escalate. And I teach owners to do the same — so you never need to depend on me longer than necessary.

Pack First

Dogs are pack animals at their core. Understand pack dynamics and you're halfway to solving any behavior problem. We work with their nature, not against it.

Real World Application

Training on hikes with multiple dogs, in open fields, around real distractions. Commands that hold up when it matters — not just in a quiet room.

Structure Creates Freedom

A dog that understands boundaries earns more freedom. We build the structure first so dogs can eventually run, explore, and just be dogs — safely.

Owner Education

The goal was never to make you dependent on a trainer. You leave every program understanding your dog — their language, their needs, their limits.

Board & Train

Your dog stays with us. Trains daily. Lives the structure. Returns home with a strong foundation — sit, down, name recall, come, place, stay, leash manners, and off-leash control. Most owners say the biggest change is how calm and controlled their dog is when they get them back. Minimum 1 week.

Adventure Hike

This isn't a walk around the block. Your dog spends 3-5 hours on real trails, open fields, and natural terrain alongside other dogs. Chasing, running, socializing — doing exactly what they were built to do. They come home tired, calm, and satisfied. That's the goal.

It started with Archie.

Archie was my Pit Bull. One day, back in Pennsylvania, he got into an incident with another dog. It shook me. I never wanted either of us to go through something like that again — so I did what I always do when something matters to me. I went deep.

I researched everything. Took courses. Applied what I was learning in real time. Slowly, Archie changed. His confidence changed. The way we moved together changed.

Then strangers started stopping us outside. "Who trained him?" We weren't on a leash. He was just with me — calm, present, responsive. That's when I realized I had something worth sharing. That's how Pawsitive K9 Solutions was born.

"Dogs aren't lazy. They just don't get taken out enough. Give them space to actually be a dog — and watch what happens."

I've always loved animals. Nature. The outdoors. Watching a dog do exactly what it was bred for — running through a field, chasing deer, moving freely — I never get tired of it. That's what I build toward with every dog I work with.

Nearly a decade in. Hundreds of dogs. Pennsylvania to Austin, Texas. The approach hasn't changed: real world training, instinct, attention to detail, and genuine care for every dog in my care.

In May 2025, I lost Archie. We had just moved to Austin. He was diagnosed with cancer, and we had to let him go. He was the reason any of this exists. This business is built on what he taught me.
